I have finally made the switch :) I have moved to Wordpress and an all new domain name http://www.angrys0ul.com  Now the prospects are unlimited

Strictly speaking I never liked Blogger because of the very less customization offered and a lot of other things it hugely lacks in. Infact it never had something above the others

Anyway lets forget about Blogger because I have moved on. From now I will be blogging at angrys0ul.com with lot more features

This is the fancy new Google logo at their Google mac site and the new Google Mac Blog. These seem to be a step towards providing more software for the limited Mac users who find it really difficult to find Mac alternatives to popular Windows softwares(I have read this many times). Poor Mac guys, after all why do they go for a Mac? Here in the PC world you wouldn't have to worry a bit to find software!

Flickr has stolen my heart, yaa it really did. The other day I was so inspired to go buy a Digital Camera somehow or the other and start with a PRO account, ofcourse i later on returned to the real world and realised that can't be accomplished anytime soon given my current financial situation that im a dependent and i earn $0 per year, no part-time job nothing :( This is dragging me close to the possibility of using my FREE TIME to earn some bucks by joining some part-time job and buy a Digi-Cam, yes im really inspired, seriously. The warmth of people sharing their lives, the pictures of parties they attend, their photographic talent and more than everything else the comments by other users, its a life of its own kind

There might be many other websites which provide the same service but they are not backed by a huge organization like Yahoo! which gives unlimited possibilities to the Flickr team to work on anything and provide a service of any extent.

All this inspiration is making me add a Flickr Random pics bar on my blog like others. It is not going to show my pics, for now I choose pics tagged ART.

I just said to my self thank GOD! and then realized why thank God? thank Microsoft and the Windows Live Writer team for quickly releasing an update to the cool Windows Live Writer by adding support for the new Blogger in Beta and adding a lot of other new features. Its a great relief because you can easily blog from this thing, it really feels good, because of many reasons some being the slow posting interface of Blogger, the buggy Text editor at Blogger which cant even remember the formatting of its own blog post while Writer can even show the background image of your blog with the formatting as exactly set in the blog StyleSheet. This thing is just so cool. I greatly regretted my decision to upgrade to the new Blogger Beta which is surprisingly irreversible! (I dont know what strange things they have put that makes the change irreversible) but now the new update to Live Writer has made all that agony  pass by. Once again thank you Microsoft and thank you Windows Live Writer Team

God! this iPod thing gets better by the day, yaa its true it gets unbelievably better and this is what keeps the competition at bay. Yaa they had the first entrant advantage but still........they keep on improving it every release. This time the most exciting release is the new redesigned iPod Shuffle along with a lot of other things which ofcourse also sound very exciting but didn't seem relevant to me.

This is the first time I ever felt buying an iPod is justified. You definitely don't need the 30GB or the recently released 80GB ones or atleast I don't need them but this one seems to be worth the price tag, it costs just $79 (See $ Conversion) and can hold 1GB of music which is good enough for the 12Hr battery life unlike the big ones where the battery life is 20 Hrs while it can hold upto 20,000 songs! which means you have to connect it for recharge every 20 Hrs which means 20 Hrs of songs would have been enough why 80GB? this is left to the mad Apple people like the mad Google fans who always praise what ever crap Google releases or better say Google buys. Yes its true Google buys most of its services, they identify a good start-up gives them funds they never imagined of and gives them all the privileges and those guys come up with cool products. This has lead to a trend in the Bay Area where start-ups are being floated just with a hope that they would be bought someday by Google/Microsoft/.. for their technology needs.

Today I have slightly modified the blog template, to be frank its just a small change, but I feel proud I made this change because I loved this effect when I saw this at some website.

The links when you hover used to show an underline earlier but now it inverts the background and font color, just like in the photo sharing site Flickr

 

  I also changed the blog background from #EEE to #27D and visited links now dont show a different color.

Microsoft is not Google. They provide really cool and innovative services not like Google which mostly aims at providing an existing service at a higher scale which panics the competition. Still no one sues Google and everyone hates Microsoft, worse yet they love anything Google releases, anything, for example the GTalk crap messenger, it has nothing on it but people say wow what a simple messaging client! Someone rightly named it, 'the stone age messenger'

Windows Live Writer is a desktop weblog editor from Microsoft which is a part of their Windows Live Program. It allows posting to various popular blogging services not just Windows Live Spaces (formerly MSN Spaces). It is a free download, doenst need a beta invite like most Google apps or the frustrating signup and wait until they show some mercy on you process.

Seemed cool at the first look to me and reviews over the web have been good, so thought of giving it a try, well here it is, you are reading my first post to my Blogger blog from Windows Live Writer (Beta)

I never liked Motorola phones released before the Moto Razr but now there is a phone from Motorola to impress the masses(i guess). The Motorola L6 is a phone which can be called a cheap downgraded Razr, note the 5 letter word cheap. Presently it costs just 5,500 INR (see $ conversion). Motorola seems to be trying to sell the Razr looks minus the features. Ofcourse it cant have the same features as Razr for to two obvious reasons-

• It is cheaper than the Razr
• Two phones cannot have the same features and same looks when they are being called by different names, something has to be different when the names are different

But the L6 at its price and with its looks is a good deal because it has all the basic features, yaa a camera too. The best part is it has a color screen Motorola L6

I have talked about this wonderful website Meeebo earlier. They have made lots of improvements from then. It is set to become a very good service in the future.

Meebo is an Ajax based instant messaging client that works with major instant messaging services. Its website allows you to log onto AOL, ICQ, Yahoo! Messenger, MSN Messenger, Jabber and Google Talk, eliminating the need for an instant-messaging client on the user's computer
